Welcome to the spring 2025 newsletter, which aims to cover the March to May period for the supply of fresh and frozen fish and seafood.

The next three months see a number of changes in the quality and availability of a number of species. Flat fish will start to come out of their spawning seasons, whilst mussels and native oysters will go into theirs. Haddock will start to spawn, and we will eagerly await the new season for lobsters – both Canadian and native – with both seasons dependent on weather conditions warming. This is never an easy season for our buyers to confidently recommend species to use throughout. However, as always, we have some ideas for you!
